Welcome to my page. I’m Emma and I’m the creative force behind FloralDeneDesigns. In 2018 my life changed beyond recognition when I caught the flu and never got better, I went from a successful accountant and career girl to practically housebound.

My love of a garden and nurturing my forgotten creative side are what kept me sane through that long illness. Over the years of illness I learnt stained glass mosaic, mandala drawing, dot art and fused glass. All from the comfort of my bed! But it was always the glass that drew my attention. And the dream of FloralDeneDesigns was born!

As my illness has receded a little I have built my fused glass repertoire.

My heart will always be in garden art, as that bought me joy in my own garden. And I take inspiration from the colours of the sea and the beauty of an English country garden.

In 2024 I was excited to be asked to supply everlasting flowers for the Memory Meadow at Dove Cottage Hospice.

In 2025 I was proud to win the January challenge competition in a worldwide glass fusing group with a piece of my garden art.

My husband Dave sometimes gets involved, he’s a talented glass fuser too. He makes the wooden garden art pieces and sometimes other things.

We stay deliberately small, as I balance the needs of my health with my desire to create. So shop with us and you’ll get a limited edition piece made with love and I promise I’ll do a happy dance too.
